What will happen at the assessment?

• The initial assessment appointment can be carried out at home or in school
  

• You can share your concerns
  

• A detailed case history will be taken
  

• Your child's communication skills will be evaluated through play and informal/formal assessments
  

• Brief verbal feedback will be provided and we can discuss whether further assessment or speech therapy is recommended
  

• Further assessment appointments may be needed following this
  

How long will the assessment

• The initial assessment appointment will usually take around 1 hour
